Mercure Hotel Swimming Pool Renovation
This project aims for the comprehensive renovation of the Mercur Hotel swimming pool, with a specific focus on repairing and upgrading the Internal Mechanical Network, performing Waterproofing Re-application, and restoring the Floor Finishes (screed and ceramic tiling) to return the pool area to its original condition.
🏗️ Key Scope of Work
The scope of work for this project is divided into three main activity groups:
1. ⚙️ Internal Mechanical Network Works (شبكة للدخلية لمكانيكا)
Inspection and Diagnosis: Conduct a full inspection of all components of the pool's mechanical system, including:
Pumps and Filters: Check the efficiency of pumps, perform necessary maintenance, or replacement if required. Inspect, clean, or change the filter media (sand/other).
Pipes and Valves: Detect any leaks or corrosion in the internal piping network and valves, replacing damaged sections with specified materials.
2. 💧 Waterproofing Re-application (اعاده العزل)
Removal of Finishes: Remove the existing ceramic tiles and screed from the pool floor and walls to expose the original waterproofing layer.
Surface Preparation: Clean and treat the concrete surface, filling any cracks or damage.
New Waterproofing: Apply a new high-quality waterproofing system resistant to chlorine and chemicals (such as flexible cementitious or epoxy systems), ensuring coverage of all corners and weak points from mechanical penetrations (like inlets and outlets).
Water Test: Conduct a water tightness test (flooding test) to confirm the effectiveness of the new waterproofing layer before proceeding with finishing works.
3. ✨ Floor Finish Restoration (سيراميك و محاره للارضية فقط)
Screeding and Leveling: Apply a new screed (محارة - plastering) layer to the floor and walls to provide a smooth, level surface ready for tiling.
Ceramic Installation: Install new swimming pool-grade ceramic tiles according to the approved design, using waterproof and chemical-resistant adhesives and grout.
Surrounding Area Finishes : Restore the surrounding coping and deck areas to their original state or update them.
